But walking with ME on the ground-and feeling the rocks under you feet and a chilly wind on your back - these are down to earth experiences that are necessary.
There are sequestered places in MY kingdom where MY children may work unobserved by men to do mighty acts of bravery, and do aggressive work against the enemy, all unheralded and without praise of men. They carry on the business I have given them.
Others I place in the limelight to come against the enemy in great prominence. But the records of each are according to each one's faithfulness to MY assignment and not according to results brought about by MY Spirit.
So if your lot seems great or small, the opportunity is equal. Each may carry out MY orders to the full, and each may receive great reward.
Recently, I discovered that I was begining to lose interest in the circular (office) work that I do. The only the thing that rings bell in my spirit is "Soul Winning" In trying to balance other demands placed on me as man in connection with this heart warming desire, I discovered that the only thing that counts in eternity is placing ones life on the things that have eternal value.
ReplyDeleteI am sold out to God for this purpose and also willing to do ANYTING He would have me do. Time is far spent and we're expecting His (JESUS) return soon. This is the only purpose and mission am alife to accomplish. It's my enerst desire that when all the activities in this life would have come to an end, I will find joy in eternity from the reward of my sincere and honest labour for the KINGDOM.
It is only in our eyes as men that our lot may seem either small or otherwise. As long as the Creator continues to derive pleasure from the created, He alone knows the expected measures in the labors: 100-fold, 60-fold, 30-fold and even 1-fold. He's delighted with all.
ReplyDeleteOne fundamental issue though is TIME. A time comes when all labor ceases. Jesus said, "...work... while it is day..." (Jn 9:4) DAY = OPPORTUNITY. You are so right Olive, each day presents to all, equal opportunities to bring God His due.
His earnest desire for global worship propels Him to continue sending men into His labor-yard until the last hour and then, goes ahead to reward them equally.
The beauty of TIME is manifest when CLOSURE is achieved for any labor within the set period for it. Jesus said, "...I have finished the work which you gave me to do." Jn 17:4 Paul finished... may we likewise finish with His approval.
His words has different ring to it. I love truth maybe selfishly for the sheer positive strenght that accompanies it.
